AAARRGGGHHHHH !!!!!
Well , I'm feeling the thrill of victory & the agony of defeat all at the same time !!! Dawson hammered a mature sow, with his mamma's .223 tonight....AFTER I made him hold off on a HUGE 350+ lb boar hog. That .223 wouldnt have even bothered that big boy... So he held up his end by drillen her @ 45 yds, and Dad couldnt get h...is end of the deal done ! I tracked her for an hr in the thickest nastiest palmetto bushes. At one point I was on my hands & knees for 150 yds....couldnt see 3 ft in front of me....saw 1 rattlesnake along the way....hands & arms are shredded now... COULD NOT find her...I felt so bad for him I cant put it into words....... going back in the AM to look with friends.......either way I'm VERY VERY proud of my new little hunter ! I did get it all on video though. Welcome to the club son !

I have killed a bookoo of porkers with a .222 over the years! If they are under 50 yards, a .223 will kill most hogs dead in there tracks. That hogs is dead I can assure you, but sounds like the jungle might claim that one. Tell the little man, he needs to get back out there and hammer another one, that big old boar will even fall with that rifle ifin you hit him in the noggin!!!!
went pack tonight to another pice of property the orange farmer has....had 15 but all too far for Dawson with his .223...... Yeh with the amount of blood I had I know its dead. I just feel bad we couldnt recover it for him. From reviewing the video he drilled her perfectly....... we'll have a video before Thanksgiving. Oh one more note....I've been "scouting" a bunch of longbeards while out with Dawson. The Osceola self-filmed bow/longbow kill should be comin soon for ya brotha !
