These first two bucks were on a property I just got permission to hunt next Fall, and I found them less than 200 yds apart...
This guy (above) also had a broken off G3 & G5 on his right side, and a broken off G4 on his left...I'm guessing he'd have gone around 160"...

Almost missed this shed...
It's been here awhile...

This is the bigggest shed I've found thus far, had a close encounter with this buck on the 26th of December. After seeing and holding his shed, I'm glad he wasn't close enough for a shot ;)
He'll be a good'n next year!

If you get a chance in the next few weeks, get out and walk your hunting area's. You can learn a lot in the "off-season" and put it to use in the Fall! Heck, you might just find a good set of rattlin' horns, if nothing more it's good exercise and something the whole family can participate in.
Brian and I are headed to Texas at the end of the week to meet up with Bill & Kyle for some free range pig hunting, keep your eye out for some footage... it's comin!

Dang, at the loss, but on the other hand maybe those gentics were able to be passed on before there demise, so's a steward of the land can watch em grow.
Sorry the big boy did not make it, he would have been a booner this year!!! There are lots of hogs running around, maybe we will run into a few! Cant wait!!!
